The Flip tells stories for changemakers in Africa. We produce and publish documentaries and video podcasts that educate and inspire those doing the work to help the African continent prosper. Our audience includes some of the esteemed venture-backed founders, investors, and corporate leaders, in addition to tens of thousands of others.

We tell better and more stories about what is actually happening across the continent, and we are looking for an Partnerships & Business Development Associate to help us on this mission.

In this role, you will help prospect and close partnerships with the relevant companies and organizations with which we tell stories.

What You’ll Do

• Manage end-to-end sales process from prospecting and outreach to closing and contracting.
• Work closely with the content team to develop content ideas and proposals for prospective partners.
• Identify and target potential partners from relevant industries. Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential sponsors.
• Regularly update and manage the CRM system to track leads, sales pipeline, and status.
• Manage relationships with existing and future partners, including performance reporting and partnership renewals.

You'll need:

• Proven track record of securing partnerships in the media, creative, or events space. Strong network of potential partners.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage CRM and build new relationships.
• Experience securing partnerships with development organizations and/or grantors is a plus.

This remote role will be hired as an Independent Contractor paid a fixed monthly rate plus commission, in USD.
